We are a part of the KIRKES Library Network with Tuusula, Järvenpää and Kerava libraries. Your library card is valid in all the KIRKES libraries. With your library card number you can make reservations on library material or renew the items you have borrowed.

Library services

Our collection includes books, e-books, magazines, periodicals, language courses, sheet music, CDs, audio books, DVDs, video games and board games available either for loan or for use at the library premises.

We offer a possibility to seek information on different electronic databases. You can also reserve material from other KIRKES libraries or request interlibrary loans either from RATAMO Network or other libraries.

You can borrow material from the main library or the mobile library. Or you can reserve items:

  • From Mäntsälä, Järvenpää and Tuusula libraries for free or from Kerava library for 1,50 €
  • From Ratamo Library Network (Riihimäki, Hyvinkää, Hausjärvi, Loppi, Nurmijärvi) for 2,00 €
  • From other libraries for 7,00 €

In addition we have
- 2 computers for browsing and searching the library's online catalogue
- Colour photocopier and scanners
- 8 computers with internet connection and Microsoft Office software suite
- iPads and headphones for loan
- Device for digitizing VHS video tapes into DVD form
- Self-service desks where you can borrow and return material yourself
- Wireless network for customers to use on their own devices
- Protocols and decisions made by the municipal council or other local authorities (in Finnish)

For Kids
Story Hour
Story hour for kids is held on Tuesdays from 10 am to 10:45 am. Stories are read in Finnish.
