Online services

Mäntsälä Municipal Library’s online services include this website, KIRKES website, Online Library Catalogue and our Facebook page. We have eBooks, electronic materials and other online resources available for our customers. At the library we have devices you can use to get acquainted with our services and materials. The library staff provides help and guidance, if needed.

Online Catalogue
We are part of the KIRKES Library Network with Järvenpää, Kerava and Tuusula municipal libraries. Your library card is valid in all the KIRKES libraries. With your library card number you can make requests and renew your loans.

You can use our online catalogue to do searches, request books and other materials and renew loans. When items you have requested arrive at the library, you will receive a text message or an email notification. Please note that KIRKES online services are unavailable every night between midnight and 3 a.m. and on Thursdays from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. due to security updates.

IntroActive service is free and allows you to create your own search terms and stay updated on all the new library materials within your idea of interest. You can make reservations on all the new interesting books, create virtual bookshelves and edit them as you go. You can for example keep reading journal and get your request and due date notifications in your IntroActive inbox or via email.

Ebooks and other electronic materials
Ebooks can be read on computer (Windows/Mac), on tablet (Win/Android/iPad), on phone (Win/Android/iPhone) or on e-reader. At the library you can test eBooks using a computer, tablet or e-reader. E-readers need a computer and web access to work.
