Newspapers and periodicals

The Digital Newspaper Service ePress – www.epress.fi. Offers digitized versions of Finnish local and provincial newspapers every day, as soon as they have come out. All the newspapers can be read for free on our customer computers.

Periodicals and Newspapers:
In the library’s Newspaper Reading Room we have newspapers and periodicals from Finland and other countries. There are magazines available in English, Swedish, German, Spanish and French. Apart from the latest issue all periodicals are available for loan. Loan period is 2 weeks.

For most newspapers, we keep the current month and the previous month’s issues available. Helsingin Sanomat, Etelä-Suomen sanomat and Kauppalehti are available from the current month and two previous months. The local newspaper (Mäntsälä, Mäntsälän uutiset) is available as bound volumes from 1972 to 2014.
